Minnesota Mobile Sauna was founded by Pete and Roger, second-generation Finnish Americans who grew up immersed in the sauna tradition right here in Minnesota.
From Family Tradition to Community Experience
Growing up in Golden Valley, Minnesota, Pete and Roger spent countless evenings in their families' backyard saunas. For Finnish Americans, the sauna is more than a building — it is a place for gathering, reflection, and connection. Their grandparents brought the tradition from Finland, and it became the heartbeat of family life.
After years of friends, neighbors, and coworkers asking “How can I try a real Finnish sauna?” the answer became clear. In 2020, Pete and Roger built their first mobile sauna in a Golden Valley workshop, combining old-world craftsmanship with a modern trailer design that could bring the experience anywhere.
Today, Minnesota Mobile Sauna delivers authentic Finnish sauna experiences across the Twin Cities and beyond. Every sauna is handcrafted with the same care and attention to detail that their grandfathers would recognize — premium cedar, wood-fired heat, and the unmistakable feeling of genuine löyly (the steam that rises when water meets hot stones).

Premium Cedar Selection
We source the highest quality Western red cedar, chosen for its natural resistance to moisture, decay, and insects. Each board is hand-inspected.
Frame & Structure
Every sauna is built on a custom steel-frame trailer for durability and mobility. The framing is engineered to withstand Minnesota winters.
Stove & Chimney Installation
We install high-efficiency wood-burning stoves with proper heat shields, chimney systems, and ventilation for safe, powerful heat.
Interior Finishing
Hand-crafted cedar benches at multiple levels, smooth sanded surfaces, and traditional details create an interior that is both beautiful and functional.
Quality Testing
Every sauna undergoes a full heat test, safety inspection, and quality check before it earns the MN Mobile Sauna name.
